ACME expands solar portfolio to 1229 MW

ACME, announced that it has expanded its solar power projects portfolio to 1229 MW.  The latest addition in its list of projects is the 75 MW project won at Jharkhand tender.
  The financial bid from ACME for the tariff of Rs 5.73 (25 MW) and Rs 5.48 (50 MW) for 25 years was announced during the final bids opening by Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd (JREDA) on 17 March and subsequent issuance of the Letter of Intent. 
Commenting on the occasion, Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, Founder and Chairman, ACME said, “We thank the Jharkhand Government and JREDA for conducting the tender.  We are happy to participate in the growth of the state through use of green energy and help the state bridge its power deficit.  The emergence of ACME in this bid reinstates our expertise in the solar power sector that helped us to become the country’s largest solar power developer with over 1 GW projects under our portfolio.”
To take this forward, ACME will sign the PPA for developing 75 MW with Jharkhand Government.  As per the PPA, ACME will develop these projects in Jharkhand locations by December 2017.   These projects will be connected to the grid through a 132 KVA line.
ACME has an existing portfolio of 1229 MW including 440 MW in Telangana, 160 MW in Andhra Pradesh, 104 MW in Punjab, 100 MW JNNSM Phase II Projects in Rajasthan and other projects in the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Odisha, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Assam and Chhattisgarh.  ACME aims to generate 7500 MW by the year 2019.
