Fall in the businessSpeaking on the recent performance of the electrical equipment market, Gaikwad states, “Past year and during current financial year we feel there has been substantial fall in business of electrical equipment manufacturing market in India. There are not much new project in main sectors like power, oil and gas, steel plants etc.”
Market presenceEstablished since 1942, AEL’s brand name and products are well known. “We are participating in Elecrama 2016 for showing presence in market,” says Gaikwad when asked about the company’s participation. AEL is pioneer in field of manufacturing measuring and indication instruments, isolation and lighting transformers, servo controlled automatic voltage stabilisers, variable auto-transformers, and high voltage testing transformers etc.
Latest technology at displayInforming on the latest products that will be displayed during the event, Gaikwad says “In terms of technology we are displaying the products like transformers for rail coaches in compliance to RDSO, ICF, RCF specification which we had developed for Indian Railways and energy saving lighting transformers which we had developed for BPCL-Kochi refinery project in compliance to EIL and industry standards. These two products will be highlighted. Apart from this we are also displaying our range of multifunction meters and multifunction transducers.”
In addition he adds, “Our other products like analogue and digital meters, transducers, servo stabilisers and isolation and lighting transformers are well established in market. Like our brand slogan “Old Values New Trend” we are displaying the new developed items for railways and energy saving lighting transformers to show our manufacturing capabilities. These products are developed using our old design reference and we had upgraded this design. Our values remain same and we are developing new product as new trend.”
Opportunity to strengthen brand Briefing about the opportunities out of Elecrama, Gaikwad says, “The participation in Elecrama event will strengthen our brand name and our networks. We expect to get new clients. We expect to get more business leads. We expect to get knowledge of latest technologies and information to upgrade our products.”
“We are also expecting to cater the clients from power projects industry as there are more power projects in south region like APGENCO, Thermal Powertech, NCC Group, Tata Projects Ltd, he adds.
