 During the forthcoming edition of Elecrama, Hyosung T&D India will be focusing on its EHV and UHV range of Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS), informs Byung Kyuejun, Managing Director, Hyosung T&D India Pvt Ltd. The company would display its products like STATCOM and Energy Storage System (ESS) that can play important role to enhance power quality in India T&D sector.
During the earlier editions of Elecrama Hyosung displayed its range of T&D products that provides efficient solutions to meet customers’ requirements. All equipment are characterised by their space-saving design and high degree of reliability, claims Kyuejun.
Making in IndiaHyosung is a regular participant at Elecrama and the 2016 edition is important for the company as it is going to expand its business in India through setting up a GIS manufacturing plant at Pune.
According to Kyuejun, Hyosung has achieved new heights by providing advance technologies to its customers globally. “We want to add new milestones in our journey by utilising outstanding Indian talent. Business opportunities Elecrama is the largest congregation of companies in the electrical equipment and power sector. Hyosung  has been exhibiting at Elecrama since the past six years. Revival in the sectorIndia’s electrical equipment industry has shown some signs of growth in the first half of 2014-15, with a 7.82 per cent growth as compared to the same period last year. Speaking on the recent performance of the electrical equipment market, Kyuejun says, “Policy changes and various initiatives undertaken by the industry and government are eventually showing signs of revival for the sector. The “Make in India” is perhaps one of the most important programmes being pursued by the Indian government. The central theme is about transforming India into a manufacturing hub with world class technology on the pattern of China, Japan, South Korea.”
