The company also looks forward connecting the technology partner and deliberating with key customer and utilise this platform optimally.
“We expect to have avenues for connecting not just the transmission industry but the electrical fraternity as well. We expect to witness a huge presence in transmission fraternity as well explore opportunities in discussing smarter grid technology with discom and assisting them to find solution and opportunities for moving ahead to achieve the target of 24/7 power for all by 2019,” he adds.
Conducive policy is the needThe projections by the Indian government, for capacity enhancement in the power sector by providing 24/7 power for all by 2019, envision exciting time ahead by the domestic electrical equipment manufacturing industry.
The ‘Make in India’ too promises to be the harbinger of renewed economic development, and the Indian electrical equipment industry is expected to be the largest beneficiary of this initiative. However, Agarwal suggests, “We feel there should be an urgent intervention from central government at the highest level for conducive policy initiatives so as to meet laid down targets of power generation capacity and related transmission and distribution capacity expansions.”
