Sterlite Power doubles transmission capacity of key corridors in Varanasi

Sterlite Power has successfully doubled the power capacity on the Gajokhar-Manduadih S/C and Varanasi Cantt – LILO point D/C transmission lines. The up-rated transmission lines will transfer 1,600 Ampere, up from 700 Ampere, resulting in two-fold increase. The ageing transmission lines were upgraded two months ahead of schedule.

Indian Railways-owned Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW), the largest diesel-electric locomotive manufacturer in India, along with residents of the region will benefit from the project.
