Vikram Solar has bagged the project order for a 1 MW Floating solar plant for Hindustan Zinc Limited. The plant will be located at Ghosunda Dam, Near Chittorgarh, Rajasthan. This would be Vikram Solar’s 2nd floating solar project after the company gave India its 1st floating solar plant in 2015 (located in Kolkata, West Bengal).

This project would be one of the first MW-scale Floating projects in India for the Indian Private sector. The floating plant will contribute to saving water evaporation loss, thus resulting in conservation of water, reduce the development of algae, maintaining cleanliness of the water, and will obviously save land space.
