Government initiatives like the National Smart Grid Mission (NSGM), the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS) and the Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) are driving this shift. Despite these advancements, challenges like data breaches, meter tampering, and AT&C losses persist, indicating that there are still hurdles to overcome.
