Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd has commissioned a 10 MW captive solar power plant at its Raipur facility in Chhattisgarh. The plant will annually provide over 15 million clean energy units to Texmaco’s Raipur operations.
Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd has commissioned a 10 MW captive solar power plant at its Raipur facility in Chhattisgarh as part of its green energy transition in partnership with AMP Energy India. The plant will annually provide over 15 million clean energy units to Texmaco’s Raipur operations, thereby reducing over 12,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
The project was inaugurated on Thursday and is part of the company’s shift towards renewable energy and alignment with Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, Make in India and the Net Zero 2070 goal national initiatives.The shift to solar is part of a much larger transformation within Texmaco driven by a vision of becoming a net-zero industrial force by 2030. The plant demonstrates commitment to promoting clean energy transition in the manufacturing sector. Texmaco’s plant under the Group Captive Open Access Policy provides increased power supply control, 30 to 40 percent cost savings and reduced grid dependency.
