Telangana’s Yadadri Thermal Power Plant to be fully operational by Jan 2026

The state government has announced the establishment of a new power distribution company in the sidelines of already existing ones.
Yadadri Thermal Power Plant in Telangana is to be dedicated to the nation in its full scale i.e 4000 MW in January next year, deputy chief minister of the state Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu has announced, while speaking at the dedication of the plant’s first 800 MW unit.
Mallu commended the collective dedication of all personnel, from ground-level workers to Chief Engineers for bringing the Yadadri plant close to completion. Government has assured to the employees that, despite the plant’s remote location world-class educational institutions and corporate-level healthcare facilities would be established in the township.
In a major relief to the locals, he announced that all those who surrendered land for both the Yadadri Thermal and Pulichintala projects would be provided jobs by August 15. The promised Resettlement and Rehabilitation (R&R) packages would be fully implemented for the individuals.Moreover, the Telangana government has announced the establishment of a new power distribution company in the sidelines of already existing ones to manage key welfare-linked electricity schemes. Also, the government has directed the officials to promote solar power adoption across government offices, schools and colleges in the state.
