Loom Solar and GSV partner to build clean energy workforce

The partnership aims to strengthen India’s renewable energy and infrastructure sectors by combining Loom Solar’s industry expertise with GSV’s academic and research excellence.

Loom Solar has entered into a strategic collaboration with Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV), a central university established by an act of parliament under the Ministry of Railways, to co-develop skill-oriented programmes that align academic learning with real-world industry needs.

The collaboration, formalised through a letter of intent, aims to strengthen the talent pipeline for India’s renewable energy and infrastructure sectors by combining Loom Solar’s industry expertise with GSV’s academic and research excellence.

Under this partnership, Loom Solar and Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya (GSV) will collaborate across key areas, including curriculum development, student training, and internships. Together, the two organisations will co-create academic modules and case studies tailored to current industry needs, ensuring that students gain future-ready and practical skills.

Speaking on the collaboration, Prof. Manoj Choudhary, Vice Chancellor, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, said, “Our vision at GSV is to bridge the gap between academia and industry by building a workforce that is not only skilled but also future-ready. This collaboration with Loom Solar strengthens our mission to align education with industry outcomes. Together, we will co-create opportunities that empower students to contribute meaningfully to India’s clean energy and infrastructure growth.”

Amod Anand, Director and Co-Founder, Loom Solar, said, “India’s renewable energy sector is growing at an unprecedented pace, and a skilled workforce will be the backbone of this transformation. Through this partnership with GSV, we aim to help shape a generation of engineers and professionals who understand both the technology and the mission behind clean energy. This initiative reflects our commitment to support India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 by developing practical, employable skills that drive sustainable growth.”

Since its founding, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya has dedicated itself to producing industry-ready professionals by utilising an innovative model that combines academic learning with practical training. Its programs are designed in consultation with industry partners, ensuring that every graduate is equipped to contribute from day one.

This collaboration with Loom Solar underscores the shared vision of both organisations: to create a robust, skill-based ecosystem that accelerates India’s transition toward clean energy and sustainable industrial development. The collaboration will also include guest lectures, workshops, and hands-on training sessions to give students real-world exposure and enhance their understanding of renewable energy applications.

India’s 24×7 growth economy will be significantly aided by initiatives like this, which will foster a skilled, adaptable, and sustainable workforce, thereby achieving its Viksit Bharat goal.

Additionally, Loom Solar will offer internships and live project opportunities, enabling GSV students to translate classroom learning into industry experience. Both institutions will continue to explore further areas of mutual interest to strengthen innovation, research, and sustainability within India’s growing renewable energy and infrastructure ecosystem.
