The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA), chaired by the Prime Minister, has approved the creation of an intra state transmission system in the states of Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan.
The ambitious project is estimated to cost Rs 8,548.68 crore with central government contribution from National Clean Energy Fund (NCEF) of ` 3,419.47 crore which is 40 per cent of the total estimated cost of project.
