SCOPE will be displaying wireless transmission of electrical signals of micro levels in the vicinity of thousands of volts.
— Sanjay Kulkarni, Chairman, SCOPE T&M Pvt Ltd
“I am proud to be associated with IEEMA since 1990 and with Elecrama since 1996 as an exhibitor. SCOPE has won several awards such as best product exhibited amongst all categories of exhibitors, best stall etc. We had started participating in Elecrama in 9 sq. m stall construction to today 100 sq. m in open space. This itself shows the success of Elecrama,” says Sanjay Kulkarni, Chairman, SCOPE T&M Pvt Ltd.
Products on display This Elecrama, SCOPE will be displaying wireless transmission of electrical signals of micro levels in the vicinity of thousands of volts. It will also display its capabilities of doing measurement of electrical parameter in micro and nano units in live switchyards of 765 kV.
SCOPE to showcase its innovative solution to VAR compensation that helps the grid to maintain its frequency. This is necessary where electricity generated by renewable energy like solar and wind is transmitted through transmission lines.
Transforming opportunities into businessCommenting on the business opportunities, Kulkarni says, “Elecrama is full of opportunities. What is more important is that we should sense it and convert into business. Elecrama is conduit to make these opportunities available under the one roof at one location. It’s all in your hand to grab them and transform into business.”
Market overviewPresent government has given lot of push to power Industry. We can see change happening not only in generation by capacity adding and transmission for evacuating the electricity produced in generating plants by installing new transmission lines and substations; but also in distribution segment, observes Kulkarni. Many innovative schemes are introduced for funding revamping process of age old infrastructure, building smart grids and smart cities, installing micro grid for making electricity available to remote rural areas. All this has given a boost to the demand of electrical equipment market in India. In addition he add, “Multinational companies from Indian and foreign origin, have increased their installed capacities or put new manufacturing units to meet the rising demand for electrical equipment. I foresee the increase in demand for these equipment by end of 12th Plan.”
Speaking on his company’s progress Kulkarni says, “SCOPE is also geared up for the increase in demand for testing instruments to test these electrical equipment such as transformers, circuit breakers, surge arrestor.  Monitoring and controlling IEDs like control switching devices; remote terminal units, bay control units and protective relays etc, offering testing and commissioning services for substation equipment; integrated solutions for SCADA, outage management and advance distribution systems.”
