ACME appoints Harish Kapoor as President – Corp Affairs

Energy management solutions provider ACME has brought on board Harish Kapoor to head and lead the Corporate Affairs as Group President-Corporate Affairs.
“He will be responsible for further strengthening ACME’s leadership position in the Indian Solar Industry and achieving its goal to develop 7500 Mega Watt (MW) of Renewable Energy Projects by 2019,” the company said. He will report to Manoj Kumar Upadhyay, Founder and Chairman, ACME Group.
Kapoor has over three decades of experience in the areas of relationship building and leading the policy, regulation and government affairs function for various businesses and ensuring compliance to the regulatory environment. He has extensive exposure to handle major projects and policies at different levels in various ministries and other government bodies at state level and central level and achieve results in line with requirements of the company. “He holds excellent relationship with corporate houses and with central and state governments both at working and at decision making levels,” a statement issued by the company said.
Prior to ACME, he had worked with Essar Group, Loop Mobile, Tata Teleservices, Bharti Airtel, etc.
