ELECRAMA 2020 showcases latest technologies for electrical sector

Exhibitors at ELECRAMA 2020 discuss the new solutions and products that were launched at the biennial electronics congregation.
ELECRAMA 2020, the latest edition of the flagship initiative of the Indian Electrical & Electronic Manufacturers Association (IEEMA), was held from 18th to 22nd January 2020 at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida. The 14th edition of ELECRAMA — the biennial electronics congregation organised by the apex electrical industrial body, IEEMA — had the largest public showcase yet of industry innovations by over 1,370 exhibitors from India and across the world.
ELECRAMA 2020 welcomed the new decade with a strong focus on renewable energy, next-generation technologies, automation, digital solutions, and buyer-seller meets. Since its first edition in 1990, ELECRAMA exclusively focused for the first time on the role of women in the industry, building stronger electrical systems for homes, offices, and industries, and discussed the way forward for complete electrification of railways. Digital technologies, IoT and AI-powered electrical systems, and other smart-tech solutions were also presented at the event.
Over 300 international and 1,000 Indian exhibitors displayed a wide range of technological innovations covering the complete electricity ecosystem, from generation, transmission, distribution, power electronics, renewables, e-mobility, automation, and power storage. Exhibitors talk about their latest products that they launched at the event.
Jitendra Agrawal, Managing Director, The Motwane Manufacturing Company Pvt. Ltd. says, “Recently, at ELECRAMA, we launched our online transformer monitoring system. We have also connected all our T&M products digitally so that one can get the data automatically without manual intervention. Moreover, we have started integrating third-party products that allow us open protocol. We have combined all these products and services on one test data platform that is called MOTWARE or Motwane Software. Motwane wants to become a test data specialist that provides testing data analytics to monitor assets, reduce capital expenditure, improve efficiency, productivity, and also contribute to the power sector with upgraded technologies. We are embarking on the journey of digitisation and want our customers to also join us in this digital future that is already here.”
Vijaykumar N. Kinariwala, Managing Director & CEO, Pankaj Potentiometers Pvt. Ltd. stated, “We have launched a couple of products in this exhibition, one being Pankaj Potentiometers’ square potentiometers, single tonne potentiometers, and wire bound meters. These potentiometers can be used and operated at various locations. Our products are used in several industries. Apart from the power sector, our products are used in industries such as pharmaceutical, chemical, cement, plastic, process control, copper rolling mills, and marble cutting mills, among other fields of application. To be precise, our products are supplied to industries where controls are a mandate.”
Dhiman Chakraborty, Deputy General Manager – Network Solutions, Sales and Solution, Delta Electronics India Pvt Ltd, concluded, “Our core focus remains to be communication technology solution. We have plans in the future to manufacture meters in India, as we have a 140-acre land which we have invested in for plants under the banner of “Make in India”. Our products like 4k display, smart meter controllers, inverters, I-cool solutions and others were launched at ELECRAMA 2020. We plan to manufacture smart meters along with the entire range of required solutions.”
