What will be Eaton’s focus at ELECRAMA 2018?
As global technology leader in power management solutions, Eaton has been empowering customers across the globe to manage power more efficiently, safely, and sustainably. In addition to showcasing the breath of our electrical technologies, we also plan to introduce some key products at ELECRAMA 2018. Our focus this year is on technologies for smart power distribution, infrastructure and building safety and solutions for manufacturing, data centers and renewable energy.

What are some key products and technologies you plan to showcase at ELECRAMA 2018?
Eaton has one of the most extensive electrical product portfolios in the industry. At ELECRAMA 2018, we are showcasing our complete range of technologies for smart power distribution and for infrastructure or building segment such as Eaton’s Ring Main Unit (RMU), medium voltage switchgear and circuit protection as well as a comprehensive range of air circuit breakers (ACB) and moulded case circuit breakers (MCCB). Also, on showcase is Eaton’s wide range of industry leading fuses and UPS systems that offer high efficiency and reliability. We have innovative solutions for medium and large voltage type tested assemblies and coordinated solutions for machinery OEMs that ensure safety and efficiency. These include our range of MCBs and RCDs, DC solutions and RMQ command and indication solutions.

Given Eaton’s focus on the improving the quality of life and the environment, sustainable technologies for renewable energy and data centers continue to be a key focus for future growth and modernisation in India. Our showcase at ELECRAMA shall also include an exciting range of switching and protection solutions for Renewables as well as cutting-edge technologies for Data Centers, like Eaton’s fully integrated micro data center, rack-based power distribution solutions and Intelligent power management for the Cloud.

What are some new products that Eaton has introduced in the market or plans to launch in ELECRAMA 2018?
We have plans to introduce a host of exciting new products at ELECRAMA 2018. We believe that the theme for this year’s ELECRAMA i.e. ‘Future Is Electric’ is very relevant to what Eaton is doing in India. Eaton is responding to some of the most critical electrical power management challenges that the country faces today. For instance, with a focus on smart power distribution, Eaton provides solutions that help distribute and consume electrical power more intelligently. Given the urgent need to modernise the country’s power distribution infrastructure, Eaton’s comprehensive and innovative range of products and services can be used to reliably, efficiently and safely manage power across utility, commercial, industrial and residential markets.

An example of one such technology is Eaton’s recently launched RVAC Eaton SF6 Ring Main Unit (RMU) with advanced safety and ergonomically designed features for medium voltage secondary distribution network. The RVAC RMU is smart grid ready and provides a compact design and enhanced personal safety and immensely improves ease of operation and user experience. Eaton also offers a range of smart connected switchgears that integrates with the Building Management System or DCIM software and makes the whole process of managing the facilities easy, reliable, and efficient. Our smart-wire DT solutions offers unmatched space optimisation for creating world class OEM machines.

What are your expectations from the exhibition this year?
ELECRAMA is the largest congregation for the global electrical sector ecosystem and as a global leader in power management technologies, Eaton in India has been a part of this event consistently for the last few years. With the entire electrical sector value chain on board, it is an excellent platform to gain exposure to the widest possible spectrum of electrical products, solutions and technologies. ELECRAMA not only allows us to share our global experience in helping our customers solve their most challenging power management problems but also helps us to learn from other companies about their contribution to the growth and advancement of the electrical sector. We are looking forward to some very interesting interactions with customers, industry experts and other key stakeholders and explore opportunities to collaborate with them to help make electrical power management in India more sustainable, reliable and safe.
