Socomec to launch Industry 4.0 ready products

At ELECRAMA 2018, Chennai-based Socomec Innovative Power Solutions, a wholly-owned subsidiary of France-based power solutions provider Socomec Group, plans to introduce new range of products that caters to the challenges of embracing Industry 4.0.

Target markets
To increase production efficiency and reduce system downtime, smart factories and smart buildings rely on Industry 4.0 technology for connecting devices and collect and analyse data and control equipment. A smart factory solution must cater to the following four requirements:
• The ability to connect to all devices, including those that were not part of the traditional factory architecture.
• Protocol interoperability among different devices.
• Maximum protection against cyberattacks.
• An architecture that maximises overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
