The energy company has signed PPA 120 MW (70+50) of wind projects with SECI, SJVN and an additional 750 MW LOA is in the pipeline.
Datta Power Infra Private Limited (Datta Infra) has evolved into a full‑fledged Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) company by officially rolling out to new subsidiary, Power Sprout Solutions (PSS). It has successfully commissioned two ground‑mounted solar projects of 2.52 MW (AC) each, totalling 5.04 MW AC, in Bhagwa village at Barmer district of Rajasthan, developed under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM‑KUSUM) scheme (Component C). Additional 43MW projects are to be commissioned in coming months under the same scheme.
This accomplishment is aligned with Datta Infra’s ambitious growth strategy to cement its position as leading EPC player, while diversifying into cutting-edge sectors such as waste management, biogas production and hydro storage. Its order book has surged to an impressive INR 2,800 crore achieving a robust 50 percent CAGR and marking a significant step in its long-term growth trajectory.
Datta Infra has officially rolled out its new EPC company, Power Sprout Solutions (PSS) to cater to an order book of 600 MW with a team of over 200 employees. PSS is looking at solar, wind, hybrid and complete RTC solutions for C&I and REI bids.
Gnanajothi Anandan, Head – EPC, Datta Infra, said, “The Bhagwa Plants are a clear demonstration of our strengths as a dedicated EPC company committed to delivering high-performance renewable energy infrastructure. Under PM-KUSUM, we have another 43 MW AC of solar projects in the pipeline, all of which will be commissioned in the coming months. With 120 MW of wind projects secured from SJVN and SECI and construction set to begin shortly, we are well-positioned to play a central role in India’s clean energy expansion. As an EPC partner of choice, we look forward to executing many more PPAs across both solar and wind segments in line with our group’s long-term growth strategy.”Developed under a central government initiative, the Bhagwa solar plants will supply power directly to the nearby State Grid Sub-Station (GSS) ensuring a stable and uninterrupted electricity supply for farmers in the region. This will enable seamless operation of water pumps for irrigation, providing reliable access to water and significantly boosting agricultural productivity and long-term sustainability. Datta Infra has also been given the mandate for the operation and maintenance of these plants for the next 25 years.
Datta Infra remains committed to supporting India’s goal of achieving 500 GW of non‑fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030. In 2024, it secured an INR 1,500 crore MoU with REC for the development of 500 MW of renewable energy projects, followed by an INR 5,000 crore MoU with Rajasthan government to expand renewable infrastructure across the state, both progressing on schedule. This year, Datta Infra further demonstrated its strength as a full-service EPC player by securing PPAs with SECI and SJVN for 120 MW of wind projects, underscoring its execution capabilities and commitment to driving India’s clean energy transition and energy security.
With a presence across states such as Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Rajasthan, Datta Infra is solidifying its pan-India footprint.
