KP Group kicks off FY2025-26 with remarkable growth
.

KPI Green Energy and KP Energy report robust growth in revenue and profitability in the June 2025 quarter.

KP Group has started the financial year 2025-26 with remarkable growth in both revenue and profitability for group entities KPI Green Energy Limited and KP Energy Limited. The results reflect strong operational capabilities, a robust project pipeline, and rising demand for clean energy solutions.

KPI Green Energy, the solar and hybrid energy arm of KP Group, reported a revenue of ₹614 crore for Q1 FY26, registering an impressive 75 percent growth from ₹350 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY25. The company’s Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at ₹111 crore, marking a 68 percent increase from ₹66 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal.

KP Energy Limited, the end-to-end wind energy solutions provider posted revenue of ₹221 crore in Q1 FY26, a 63 percent increase from ₹135 crore in Q1 FY25. PAT rose 40 percent, from ₹18 crore to ₹25 crore, marked by project scale-up, ongoing diversification into offshore wind initiatives and strategic order acquisitions.

Dr Faruk G. Patel, Chairman and Managing Director of KP Group, said, “The first quarter of FY26 has validated the strength of our strategy and the hard work of our teams. The significant year-on-year growth at KPI Green and KP Energy reflects our focus on execution, innovation, and sustainability. With over 5 GW of multi-year projects in hand and continued diversification into emerging areas like offshore wind, we remain confident of achieving our ambitious 10 GW target by 2030 and accelerating India’s clean energy transition.”

KPI Green Energy’s operational scale continued to expand, with its total portfolio rising to 4 GW, up from 2.8 GW a year earlier. The Independent Power Producer (IPP) segment capacity grew from 1.4 GW to 1.7 GW, while the Captive Power Producer (CPP) segment surged from 1.3 GW to 2.3 GW. KPI Green’s installed capacity crossed 1 GW and its land bank exceeded 6,275 acres. The company currently has over 3 GW of orders on hand. KPI Green Energy’s market cap stood at ₹. 10,646 crore on August 4.

Looking ahead, KPI Green Energy is evaluating investments in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) segment. The company has chalked out plans for a 5 MW captive BESS project, in addition to active tender participation. Battery energy storage stabilises frequency, shifts peaks, and enables round-the-clock supply. Moreover, it is also actively participating in tenders for the development of floating solar projects, which offer advantages such as land conservation, reduced evaporation, water-cooling efficiency, and support for rural electrification.

KP Energy has successfully built a renewable energy portfolio of over 3.26 GW, with 1.05+ GW capacity already installed and 2.22+ GW of projects in hand. KP Energy also manages an O&M portfolio of over 595 MW and is exploring offshore wind opportunities in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu. It has also received in-principle approval for 100 MW ISTS connectivity, enabling interstate power sales and expansion across national grids. KP Energy’s market cap stood at ₹. 3,381 crore on August 4.
