Ministry of Power wins excellence medal at IITF 

Get recognition for showcasing key power sector initiatives and enhancing public engagement at the India International Trade Fair, Power Pavilion.

The Ministry of Power, has been honored with the Special Appreciation Medal for Excellence in Display at the India International Trade Fair 2023. This prestigious event took place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, spanning from November 14 to 27, 2023. The accolade was bestowed upon the Ministry for its outstanding contribution to the Power Pavilion, a prominent feature at the 42nd edition of the IITF. The Pavilion, executed under the overarching guidance of the Ministry of Power, designated NTPC as the nodal agency, with collaborative input from 11 other Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) operating under the Ministry.

The ceremonial inauguration of the Pavilion transpired on November 14, 2023, with the distinguished presence of the Union Minister for Power and New & Renewable Energy,  RK Singh. The Pavilion served as a platform to showcase pivotal initiatives within the power sector, catering to both domestic and international industry stakeholders. Simultaneously, it aimed to enhance public awareness and participation in the government’s schemes and policies related to the power sector.

The commendable recognition in the form of the Special Appreciation Medal was formally presented during the award presentation ceremony, held recently. The esteemed award was received by Ajay Agarwal, Director, Ministry of Power, and Harjit Singh, Chief General Manager (Corporate Communications) of NTPC.

Throughout the duration of the India International Trade Fair, the Power Pavilion garnered substantial attention, attracting a diverse and sizeable audience. Functioning as an informative hub for the power sector, the Pavilion effectively engaged visitors through various interactive activities. These included quiz competitions, street plays (Nukkad Natak), and captivating Magic Shows. This multi-faceted approach not only disseminated valuable information but also created an immersive and entertaining experience for the attendees.
