.NTPC Green Energy Ltd. and HPCL have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Renewable Energy Business and Green Power for HPCL Refineries and other business units
On January 3, 2023, in New Delhi, NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) for the development of renewable energy-based power projects to tap business opportunities in RE and the supply of 400 MW of round-the-clock renewable power to meet HPCL’s requirements. Neeraj Sharma, NGEL’s Head of Finance, and Shuvendu Gupta, HPCL’s Executive Director for BioFuels and Renewables, signed the MoU.
The MoU is the first step for NGEL and HPCL to collaborate and cooperate in the development of renewable energy projects that will assist HPCL in meeting its clean energy commitments.
Gurdeep Singh, CMD NTPC; C.K. Mondol, Director-Commercial, NTPC; J. Srinivasan, Director-Finance, NTPC; Mohit Bhargava, CEO of NGEL, D.K. Sharma, Executive Director of CSP&BD, HPCL, Kushal Banerjee, CGM, HPCL, and Rajiv Gupta, CGM of NTPC REL, signed the MoU.
This MoU represents the first step for NGEL and HPCL to collaborate and cooperate in the development of renewable energy projects that will assist HPCL in meeting its clean energy commitments.
