Over 65,000 street lights to go dark in North Delhi over outstanding payment

Tata Power-DDL (TPDDL) plans to switch off around 65,000 streetlights from 15 October in the national capital, over non-payment of around Rs 22 crore in dues by Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).

“North Delhi residents, especially those residing in unauthorised areas, have to wade through dark streets due to non-payment of approximately Rs. 22 crore pertaining to maintenance charges of over 65,000 street lights by the DSIIDC , the TPDDL said in a statement
