Panasonic consolidates industrial devices and energy solutions into PIDEIN, appoints Narayan Kumar as CBO

Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) has announced the strategic integration of its Industrial Devices (INDD) and Energy Solutions (ESD) divisions into a new entity named Panasonic Industry & Energy India (PIDEIN). The newly integrated PIDEIN entity will be led by Narayan Kumar, who has been appointed Chief Business Officer (CBO). 

Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND) announced the strategic integration of its Industrial Devices (INDD) and Energy Solutions (ESD) divisions into a single, consolidated entity, Panasonic Industry & Energy India (PIDEIN). The formation of PIDEIN is a strategic step aimed at enhancing organisational agility, driving synergy for an enhanced customer experience, building operational excellence, and aligning with the company’s long-term strategy for India.

The newly integrated PIDEIN entity will be led by Narayan Kumar, who has been appointed Chief Business Officer (CBO) for Panasonic Industry & Energy India. Previously serving as Divisional Director of the Panasonic Industrial Devices Division (INDD), Narayan Kumar brings a wealth of experience in varied B2B domains, a strategic mindset, and a customer-centric approach to his new role. He will report to Tadashi Chiba, MD and CEO of Panasonic Life Solutions India (PLSIND).

Panasonic’s Industry Division (INDD) in India specialises in advanced electronic & electromechanical components, including passives, sensors, relays, microswitches, BLDC motors & automation products, including servo systems, PLCs, HMIs, and sensing solutions. The Energy Division (ESD) focused on sustainable energy solutions to support India’s transition to a greener future. The portfolio included lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles (EVs), renewable energy storage systems, and energy management solutions for residential, commercial, and industrial applications.
