Keeping in mind the goals and objectives of the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan, the current proposal for the construction of the 382 MW Sunni Dam HEP by SJVN will provide various benefits to local suppliers, local enterprises, and MSMEs, as well as encourage entrepreneurship opportunities within the country while also promoting employment and socio-economic development in the region. Approximately 4000 people will be employed directly and indirectly during the project’s peak construction period.
