Enkay Solar Power manufactures solar PV modules with an assembly line to connect 156.75 x 156.75 PV cells in a series string. The company is uses cells which are capable to deliver maximum output. Each module is rated by its direct current (DC) output power under standard test conditions (STC), and typically ranges from 40 to 330 Watts (W). PV modules use light energy (photons) from the Sun to generate electricity through the photovoltaic effect. The majority of modules use wafer-based crystalline silicon cells or thin-film cells. The structural (load carrying) member of a module can either be the top layer or the back layer. Cells must be protected from mechanical damage and moisture. Externally, most of photovoltaic modules use MC4 connectors type to facilitate easy weatherproof with IP67 rating connections to the rest of the system.
