Adani Electricity Mumbai Limited (AEML), along with senior officials from fire department observed the Fire Safety Week from April 14 to April 20, 2019. During the week, fire services officials engaged with over 7,000 employees and customers of AEML to raise awareness of fire safety. Awareness workshops were organised in all the offices of AEML to sensitise employees about fire prevention methods at homes and commercial spaces.
Speaking on the occasion, an AEML spokesperson said, “As an organisation, safety is our prime motto and we are privileged to join hands with the fire safety department to organise awareness campaigns for fire safety. Fire Safety Week is observed every year in the memory of the firefighters killed while fighting a blaze on the ship SS Fort Stikine at Bombay dock on April 14, 1944. Being responsible citizens, it is our duty to raise awareness about safety measures to be taken in case of fire emergencies.”
AEML also invited industry experts to deliver talk on precautions to be taken in case of fire hazards. The organisation also demonstrated fire hydrants with onside training to security teams at their offices in Kandivali, Magathane, Bhayandar and Tilak Nagar.
