CGPL bags ‘Gold’ at FAME excellence safety award for health & safety of workers

Coastal Gujarat Power Ltd (CGPL), a fully owned subsidiary of Tata Power has bagged FAME Excellence Safety Award (Gold) for best safety practices and implementing workplace safety norms. Pramod Kumar Singh, Head – Fire & Safety, CGPL received the award on behalf of the Company at an event held in Dehradun on July 29, 2018.
The award was presented by Minister Madan Kaushik, Urban Development Minister, Government of Uttarakhand, Prakash Pant, Finance Minister, Government of Uttarakhand, Naresh Bansal, State General Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party, Uttarakhand and J P Agarwal, former Member of Parliament.
Congratulating the team for winning the award, Ashok Sethi, COO & Executive Director, Tata Power said, “Health and safety is not only a high priority area for us but also an integral part of our business. We constantly strive to induce the best occupational health and safety systems at work. This award will certainly boost our efforts in this direction.”
The award, given by the Foundation for Accelerated Mass Empowerment (FAME), recognizes industries for implementing best occupational health and safety systems, processes and practices.
