CMD, IREDA lauds ICMAI leadership at 62nd National Convention

Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) expertise is leveraged by more than 50% Fortune 500 companies with growing demand in emerging markets.
Pradip Kumar Das, Chairman and Managing Director, Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Ltd. (IREDA), addressed the 62nd National Cost and Management Accountants’ Convention, organised by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI) at SOA University, Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
The Governor of Odisha, Kambhampati Hari Babu, graced the event as Chief Guest and applauded IREDA’s remarkable contribution towards sustainable development and the renewable energy sector. He also lauded IREDA’s historic listing on the stock exchanges, marking a new chapter in India’s green finance journey.
Delivering his keynote address in the inaugural session, Das spoke about the rising leadership of CMAs globally, noting that CMA expertise leveraged by more than 50 percent Fortune 500 companies with growing demand in emerging markets. He cited that CMAs today play pivotal roles as strategic financial advisors, cross-functional enablers, and enterprise value partners, moving beyond traditional cost reporting.Highlighting IREDA’s operational excellence, Das shared how the organisation has embraced complete digital transformation, achieving a 3.5-fold growth in its loan book in last 5 years with a leaner workforce. He underlined the growing role of CMAs in driving such corporate turnarounds, governance, and sustainable growth.
