The company has commissioned some of the largest captive industrial solar plants in the region, integrating floating solar arrays on internal reservoirs and expansive rooftop systems across industrial campuses.

The Indian renewable energy sector is growing at a remarkable rate with the nation’s installed renewable energy (RE) capacity expected to reach 220 GW by March 2025 fuelled by record annual growth of approximately 29.5 GW with solar contributing 23.8 GW. In this ever-changing market, AB Energia Solutions Pvt. Ltd. has emerged as a driving force pushing the country’s clean energy goals via cutting-edge engineering, innovation and an unrelenting dedication to sustainability.

Engineering Excellence for a Sustainable India

AB Energia specialises in offering full, customised EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) solutions around the solar spectrum involving floating solar, industrial rooftop, carport and ground-mounted systems. Each project is precisely planned in order to maximise energy yield, optimise land and water use and provide measurable environmental benefits . This approach is crucial in a country where land is expensive and the requirement for efficient, scalable sustainable energy solutions has never been greater.

Setting New Standards

AB Energia’s recent projects exemplify the next generation of renewable power generation. The company has commissioned some of the largest captive industrial solar plants in the region, integrating floating solar arrays on internal reservoirs and expansive rooftop systems across industrial campuses. These innovative installations not only generate significant volumes of green energy-up to 44.3 million units annually in a single project-but also reduce reliance on conventional grid electricity and cut CO₂ emissions by tens of thousands of metric tonnes each year.

Floating solar, in particular, offers unique advantages for India:

  • Land Conservation: By utilising existing water bodies, floating solar minimises land requirements, a critical consideration in densely populated regions.
  • Water Conservation: Floating solar installations can reduce water evaporation by up to 70 percent, conserving precious resources, especially during dry seasons.
  • Higher Efficiency: The cooling effect of water beneath solar panels can boost energy yield by up to 10 percent compared to ground-mounted systems.
  • Environmental Benefits: Reduced sunlight exposure limits algae growth and supports healthier aquatic ecosystems.

The nation’s solar growth trajectory is remarkable:

  • Solar Capacity: As of March 2025, India’s total installed solar capacity reached 105.65 GW, comprising 81 GW ground-mounted, 17 GW rooftop, and nearly 5 GW from hybrid and off-grid systems.
  • Annual Additions: FY 2024–25 saw a 58.5 percent year-over-year increase in solar installations, with rooftop solar growing by 72 percent and off-grid solar nearly tripling.
  • Regional Leaders: States like Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Maharashtra have led the solar surge, collectively accounting for the majority of new utility-scale installations.
  • National Targets: India aims to achieve 500 GW of non-fossil fuel-based capacity by 2030, with solar expected to meet up to 30 percent of the nation’s electricity demand by then.

Empowering Industry and Communities

AB Energia’s solutions directly support the decarbonisation journey of the country, enabling industries to lower operational costs, reduce carbon footprints and enhance energy security. The company’s projects have delivered energy cost reductions of up to 29 percent for clients, while also supporting rural electrification and inclusive growth through distributed solar and off-grid systems.

As the sector continues its rapid evolution, AB Energia remains committed to accelerating the country’s clean energy transition. By leveraging advanced technologies, engineering expertise and a vision for sustainable growth, AB Energia is not just generating power-it is powering nation’s progress toward a resilient and low-carbon future.
