The Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) is a part of the inter-state transmission system (ISTS), ensuring efficient generation and transmission of clean energy across regions.
Waaree Energies has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited (RUMSL) and Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited (MPPMCL) for the supply of 150 MW of solar power.
The project forms part of the Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS), enabling seamless distribution of renewable energy across regions. The generated power will be supplied to both MPPMCL and Indian Railways, contributing to India’s push toward clean energy adoption and carbon emissions reduction. This initiative aligns with the country’s ambitious renewable energy targets and supports the decarbonisation goals of large consumers such as the Indian Railways.Waaree Energies continues to lead in the solar sector, boasting India’s largest solar PV module manufacturing capacity at 15 GW and 5.4 GW for solar cells. The agreement marks another milestone in strengthening energy transition and promoting sustainable power infrastructure in India.
