Bob Halliday named chief financial officer of Applied Materials

Applied Materials Inc. has announced Bob Halliday as the senior vice president and chief financial officer. Mr Halliday previously was executive vice president and chief financial officer of Varian Semiconductor Equipment Associates prior to Applied’s acquisition of the company in November 2011.
