CG flags off its first batch of 500 kV transformers from Indonesia plant

Avantha Group Company CG flagged off its first batch of 500 kV transformers from its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility located in the industrial area of Cileungsi, Bogor, Indonesia. The facility is equipped to design, manufacture and test transformers up to 550 kV class locally in Indonesia. The largest rating of the transformer manufactured in this facility is 500 MVA and 550 kV class. CG’s Indonesian manufacturing and testing facility will now be used to strengthen PT PLN’s transmission network thus making CG a leading name in the whole of the Asia-Pacific region. PT PLN (Perusahaan Listrik Negara) is an Indonesian Government-owned sole electricity utility company.In addition to the manufacturing capability, CG has invested more than $ 15 to build a 550 kV extra high voltage (EHV) test lab here that is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment mostly from Europe and America. Speaking on the occasion of the flag off, Avantha Group Company CG’s CEO & Managing Director, Laurent Demortier said, “Our enhanced Indonesian facility makes us a preferred partner for investors of Power Plants in Indonesia to source all their transformer requirements locally.”
