NTPC subsidiary enters into agreement with KSEB

NTPC subsidiary enters into agreement with KSEBVidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited (NVVN), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) for supply of 300 MW round-the-clock power for 3 years, starting from March 1, 2014. The PPA was signed by N.K. Sharma, CEO, NVVN and D. Dinesh, CE, Commercial, KSEB in the presence of Aryadan Muhammed, Minister for Power and Transport, Government of Kerala in Thiruvananthapuram. The PPA envisages supply of over 7 billion unit power sourced by NVVN from Chhattisgarh during this contract period. The contract has been bagged by NVVN through a competitive bidding process conducted by KSEB.
