ONGC inaugurates new facility
ONGC inaugurated Rs. 6,060 crore Mumbai High North Process Platform to replace a massive platform that was gutted in fire on July 27, 2005. Sudhir Vasudeva, Chairman and Managing Director, ONGC inaugurated the facility.
“The commissioning of Mumbai High North Process Platform will help ONGC to raise output from offshore Mumbai High fields by 9,000 barrels a day to 2,06,000 bpd. The new platform, weighs 13,500 tonnes, is the largest on the Mumbai High field and will result in production of 55 million tons of oil and 6.5 billion cubic meters of gas by the year 2030,” said ONGC in a statement.
