France-based Alstom appointed Rathin Basu as Country President of Alstom India and South Asia as of April 1. At present, Basu is the Managing Director for Alstom T&D India, the Group’s arm that deals with transmission and distribution business. Mr Basu will be reporting to Philippe Delleur, Senior Vice-President International Network. He will succeed Sunand Sharma, who will continue to support Alstom’s businesses as Advisor with focus on the neighbouring countries of India and as a Board Member of several legal entities.
