Tata Power registered its 50.4 MW wind project in Gujarat under CDM
Tata Power announced the registration of its 50.4-MW wind power project at Samana, Gujarat under Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) program by United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
The 50.4-MW wind plant at Samana was commissioned in May 2009 and uses 63 wind turbine generators of 800-KW capacity each to harness wind energy for power generation. The Samana plant helps in reducing an annual average of 96,821 tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent, by producing 1,04,970 MWh per year (average) equivalent amount of clean energy.
