Grid Integration for Efficient Transmission and Distribution was vital for enhancing reliability, stability, and efficiency in electricity systems. It involved integrating various power sources, including renewables and conventional plants, into the grid. India had taken several measures to facilitate grid integration, such as the establishment of Green Energy Corridors. These corridors involved constructing dedicated transmission lines and substations for renewable energy, enabling efficient power transmission from resource-rich areas to load centers. These efforts had been instrumental in India’s pursuit of a sustainable and diversified energy mix while strengthening the grid’s overall resilience. On this note, EPR Magazine organized a Live Power Talk on “Efficient Energy Infrastructure: Grid Integration Strategies for T&D Systems” on the 18th of July. The 90-minute talk delved into grid integration, T&D efficiency, obstacles, infrastructure advances, and policy support for increasing T&D capacities and lowering losses to establish an efficient T&D infrastructure.
