Energy Outlook 2022 – Budget Special | EPR Magazine | Power Talk

Indian Power sector is classified in three critical aspects of Generation, Transmission and Distribution, with distribution being the most crippled sector during the last quarter of 2020. To address the same, the finance ministry, in the Budget 2021-22, allocated Rs. 3.05 lakh crores for the power distribution sector that is projected to be released in 5 years.

The union budget 2021 has brought humungous hopes for uplifting the power and energy sector. Industry leaders also welcome the government’s push to help ailing DISCOMs.

On this note, EPR magazine organized an interactive Power Talk on “Energy Outlook 2022 – Budget Special” on 19th January, 2022 where speakers had a brief discussion on the possible benefits, policies, power finance, regulatory intervention to enhance our energy scenario and augment the capacity of RE in the coming years.
