Mr. Santosh Kamath is a Managing Director with A&M and leads the firm’s Clean Energy and Energy Transition practice in India. He brings more than 23 years of experience in management consulting across the energy value chain, including power utilities, conventional and renewable energy generators, grid operators, regulators, and governments. He also brings a deep understanding of regulation and power markets and has assisted regulators in developing regulation, market modeling, and competition development. Before joining A&M, Mr. Kamath served as Partner with KPMG in their energy practice and led the renewable energy sector. With specialisation in new energy areas, including solar and wind power, hydrogen, and energy storage, he earned a BTech degree from IIT Bombay and a management degree from IIM Bangalore. He also authored the industry-acknowledged thought leadership paper in the solar sector, “The Rising Sun,” which predicted the rise of solar energy to where it stands today, much ahead of its time.
