The MECO new Digital Earth Resistance Tester (Model: DET 909 P) is designed for measuring the earth resistance of earthing in electrical systems. This instrument has wide applications for testing the earthing of installations in power industries, telecommunication networks and electrical traction systems, among others.

The MECO New Digital Earth Resistance Tester (Model: DET 909 P) comes with a range of advanced and user-friendly features. It is equipped with a 3½-digit, 1999-count display and offers two earth resistance ranges of 10.00 Ω and 1000 Ω. Designed with an excellent, robust build, the tester operates on rechargeable batteries that support up to 600 ON/OFF test operations. Its rugged battery-holding arrangement ensures durability, while the design prevents unauthorised removal of batteries. The inbuilt SMPS battery charging circuit allows quick recharging within 3–4 hours, and LED indication confirms when the battery is fully charged.

The instrument also features a clear 14mm LCD display with backlight, a Data Hold (DH) facility, low battery indication, and a measurement frequency of 150Hz. Lightweight and portable, it is extremely simple to operate with a convenient “Connect–Press–Read” process. It is engineered to reject high levels of noise and interference and is designed to generally conform to EN 61557 standards. With range selection and single-person push-button operation, function icons on display, and EN 61010-1 CAT III 100V safety compliance, it ensures reliable performance. Housed in a sturdy, elegant, and compact body, the tester is supplied with a carrying case, eight fitted 1.2V ‘AA’ rechargeable batteries, a two-pin male-female charging wire, an instruction manual, and carton packaging.
