Kusam Meco to introduce an array of T&M solutions at ELECRAMA

In an interview with EPR Magazine, Navin Goliya, Director of Kusam Meco Import Export Pvt. Ltd., discusses the latest testing and measuring equipment’s effects on the performance and health of a transformer and a power system.
How are advanced T&M instruments adding efficiency to power equipment performance?
KUSAM-MECO is a 4-decade company dedicated to the supply of High-Quality Digital Electronic tests and Measuring Instruments in India. We strive to improve the quality and performance of our instruments on an ongoing basis. By using KUSAM-MECO Power monitoring instruments and analysers, the users can check all electrical input and output values, their equipment’s performance and efficiency, and take corrective action if necessary.

Which monitoring solutions are required to maintain and manage load conditions in power transformers and electrical units?
For proper monitoring of the efficiency of the Transformers / Motor / Switch Panels etc. ‘KUSAM-MECO’ Power Quality and Harmonics Analysers provide accurate data on power equipment performance. So also, an Insulation Resistance Tester is required to check the health of the windings of Transformers. Infrared Thermometers are needed to monitor the temperature and rise of the winding of the transformers. On-line Earth Resistance Testers are required to monitor the earthing condition of Transformers and other Switchyard equipment.
What measures have you taken to ensure optimum power and electrical safety through your T&M products? 
At KUSAM-MECO safety of the equipment and user is of prime importance. We have the most extensive range of Highest Safety ‘UL’ Listed Clampmeters and Multimeters. These instruments have surge protection up to 12KV self-extinguishing, a Polycarbonate Body with a melting temperature of 245°C, and HRC fuse to prevent damaging internal circuits due to faulty connections. These products are far superior to only ‘CE’ marked products.

What is going to be your focus during ELECRAMA 2023? What developments will impact the power sector most in the following years?
Our focus at ELECRAMA is to provide proper solutions to the needs and problems of the power industry. We are introducing new instruments like Power & Harmonics Clampmeter, AC/DC Power Clamp meters, Loop impedance meters, Clampmeters and Multimeter for Solar Energy Recording data instruments for Railways etc.
