Your views and focus in ELECRAMA 2020
HPL Electric & Power Ltd. has always been an active participant in the industry events and seminars, and has represented itself across prestigious global events as well. Significance of Industrial IoT in revolutionising the sector
The term Industry 4.0 comprises a new industrial revolution where it is one that gels with advanced manufacturing techniques and the Internet of Things (IoT), to create manufacturing systems that are not only interconnected, but also communicate, scrutinise, and use information to drive further intelligent action back in the real life. Indian The electrical equipment industry is also rigorously using IoT in most of its components to make it more technology-friendly, and keep it up to date. Many companies within various industries are implementing a greater number of connected technologies to develop their processes. Industry 4.0 will modify the entire manufacturing system, from the architecture and organisational structure to products, services and business models along with value chain.

What kind of opportunities do you see in smart electricity for India?
With IoT and AI enabled devices used in real life, smart electricity is becoming the need of hour. Smart electricity deals with uninterrupted supply of quality power, monitoring power loss and trace the real-time data of the energy provided to various building, industries and commercial spaces. Smart electricity is the current vision of integrating the conventional T&D system with Internet of Things which would focus towards sustainable and comprehensive development. Mechanism of smart grid has shown an exponential growth since 2012. Also, 23 per cent of total share of budget of smart city is being channelised towards providing smart energy solutions, which will further enhance the requirement and opportunity of smart electricity in India.

Can you brief about the latest innovations and additions for your range of solutions?
HPL has been working tremendously to grow in the electrical equipment industry and furthermore aspires to expand their wings in the solar and lighting industry. Recently, we have introduced a new range of solar products using the latest technology and design for best-in-class performance and durability. The new solar launches comprises AC Combiner box in 800V Ac for ground mount and rooftop solar PV application, AC Distribution box IN 1000V Ac for rooftop and ground mount solar PV application, LT Panel in 800V Ac for ground mount solar PV application, String Combiner box in 1500V Dc for ground mount solar PV application and String Monitoring box in 1500V Dc for ground mount solar PV application.

HPL has introduced seven wonders of LED lighting which comprises the latest technology and innovations catering to every household needs. To enhance the aesthetic of your home decor, we have launched Inverter lamp, Remote controlled colour changing lamp and T lamp. To deliver the best to our end consumers, we undertake research and development to consistently upgrade our products and technologies. In the coming years, we seek to be the pioneer of the Indian electrical equipment industry.

What are your plans and projections for next two years?
HPL embarks on research and development to consistently upgrade its products and the technologies. The R&D centres at Gurugram (Haryana) and Kundli (Haryana) are approved by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. We believe that our in-house R&D Centers enable us to initiate innovative solutions to meet the varied segment needs of our customers and achieving time efficiency in development of new and innovative technologies. Through our rigid practices of R&D, we launch new products every year. In the coming years, HPL thrives to focus on consumer durables as well and manufacture products keeping in mind the requirements of retail buyers.
