In an interview with EPR Magazine, Monika Agarwal, Director – Central Operations, Msafe Equipment Pvt. Ltd., talks about creating digital strategies to deliver the equipment requirement and keep their clients engaged throughout the pandemic with it.
Can you walk us through your company’s profile?
The company name Msafe Equipment Pvt. Ltd., and the Caption (Protect the people) itself makes feel the clients as how much safety and care we look for our clients. For safety and care we have given more importance to the quality we use for our product. We are a leading service provider in Construction Industry. We provide PAN INDIA rental and sale services of Aluminium Scaffolding & Scissor Lift.
How has the pandemic impacted your business?
Yes there has been a great impact on the business, not only for our industry but for the entire business areas. As earlier, our sales team used to meet our clients in person through site visits; it was easier to bond and understand the requirement but now we are very much limited to online work as many companies are still doing work from home. And due to this we have limited personal interaction with our clients which somehow affects us to achieve business objectives. But as we are coping up with the pandemic situation, we are making marketing strategies like, our YouTube channel having Erection videos, power point presentations to understand the product better, connecting to people through video calls etc.
What are the challenges in delivering the service requirements for electrical sector post lockdown? Do you see any shortfall for technical manpower?
Post COVID, orders are very limited and the rental service cost has been reduced with the increasing competition in the market. Also, the client’s needs to have the material within a short frame of time and in that case we have to be very pro and active to provide delivery and quality on time. During lockdown we pulled our socks and prepared ourselves in every possible way to kick-start after Lockdown. As it is not possible to meet people in person, we connected through e-platforms. There was a shortfall in the technical manpower but we were prepared for the same by making erection Videos so that less Manpower is required.
What are your latest product / service additions for the electrical sector?
Aluminium Scaffolding / Ladders / Industrial ladders / tanker ladders and Scissor lift are our latest offerings to the electrical industry. Aluminium Scaffolding with cantilever / stairway and Scissor lift among our latest additions are offered for both rent as well as sale. Also, we are launching some new products this year like ladder with platform, Multi-purpose ladder etc. In order to reach more people, we are going to open new offices at more locations like Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai.
