Through the years, Elecrama has emerged as a global platform for technology, product and knowledge-sharing amongst all key stakeholders of the electricity ecosystem and has established itself as one of the largest electrical T&D exhibition in India. Sharing his views on participating in Elecrama, Kalidas Bhangare, Managing Director, Testo India Pvt Ltd says, “We have an array of measuring instruments that find applications in electrical industry right from power generation to transmission to maintenance – ranging from IR Guns to thermal imagers and many more. Elecrama is perhaps the best platform to showcase our products for the electrical segment. Electrical facility managers, project managers and so on are our target audience and we have been getting good response from customers from electrical industry. This time too we expect Elecrama 2016 to be a success.”
Compact measuring instruments at displayMaintenance and servicing are crucial for the operational reliability of a high-voltage system. Potential weak spots such as circuit breakers and power switches, or malfunctions in the transformer cooling can lead to an interruption of the energy supply. “Early and reliable identification of these sources of error is now possible using testo 885 and testo 890 high-resolution thermal imagers with supertele lens which provide high-precision measurement of the smallest anomalies even from a distance,” Bhangare says.
Further he adds, “In electrical installations or cables, increased temperatures are always an indication of an overload, an imminent malfunction or an existing defect. With testo thermal imagers early recognition of defective components becomes easy that helps in preventive maintenance.”
He adds, “To thermography, this time Testo is introducing its new innovation- the testo Smart probes in which we have integrated the easy functionality of smart phones with measurement tasks. The Smart Probes are compact measuring instruments which can be connected to the smart phone or tablet via Bluetooth, and conveniently and intuitively operated via app for all important temperature, humidity, pressure and flow velocity measurements. These probes can be installed for free as an iOS or android version, and offers the user many practical functions, including clear measurement value readout, curve display of the measurement data in graph or tabular form, as well as the dispatch of the measurement data as a PDF report or excel file. More application-specific measurement menus make working with the Smart Probes even more efficient. The testo Smart Probes come with compact smart case which allows the Smart Probes to be safely stored and comfortably transported.”
Positive footfallsSpeaking on the opportunities and expectation from event, Bhangare says, “We are highly optimistic about the footfalls that we will be getting in Elecrama 2016 for our key products which cater to electrical industry for various maintenance functions like thermal imagers, infrared thermometers and our new addition to the product basket- the Smart Probes and we hope to receive a very good response for our products as a continued tradition in Elecrama 2016 as well.”
