The reliable supply of electric power is a critical element of our economy. To foster sustainable, low-emission development, many countries are establishing ambitious renewable energy targets for their electricity supply. Because solar energy tends to be more variable than conventional sources, meeting these targets will involve changes to power system planning and operations.
Grid integration of renewable energy means reimagining operations and planning for a reliable, cost-effective, and efficient electricity system with clean and new energy generators. Grid integration of renewable energy involves building resilience and efficiency into the electrical grid. However, despite challenges, such as the unavailability of renewable resources instantly, feeding power from renewable energy into the existing grid causes fluctuations in frequency, which pose major challenges for grid operators.

  • optimising interconnected technologies to improve operations and efficiency, along with reducing costs.
  • Developing new economic frameworks that include renewable energy rather than focusing on traditional energy
